SCMA begins visit to Beijing (with photos)

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, started his visit to Beijing today (April 22).

     During the visit, Mr Tam met with officials of various central ministries, including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Development and Reform Commission, to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

     He also visited Zhongguancun to learn about the latest developments in the national new and high technology industrial development zone, and met with Hong Kong students studying in Beijing.

     Mr Tam will return to Hong Kong tomorrow morning, concluding his five-day visit to the Mainland.
