HKSAR Government delegation continues visit to Taichung City (with photos)

The HKSAR Government delegation continued its visit programme in Taichung City and its vicinity today (March 6). They made several stops in Nantou County to see for themselves the services and facilities at the tourist sites. The HKSAR Government delegation continued its visit programme in Taichung City and its vicinity today (March 6). They made several stops in Nantou County to see for themselves the services and facilities at the tourist sites. The HKSAR Government delegation continued its visit programme in Taichung City and its vicinity today (March 6). They made several stops in Nantou County to see for themselves the services and facilities at the tourist sites, and attended a welcoming lunch hosted by the Nantou County Government. Speaking at the lunch, the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, said that Taichung City and Nantou County had very high potentials in economic development and tourism promotion. He said it was worth taking reference from their experience, noting that while a cable car system was developed at the Sun Moon Lake, the culture and history of nine ethnic groups in the area were being preserved. The hotel development projects in the area were also of a very high standard, he said.
