SCMA calls on voters to cast votes in DC Election(With photos)

    The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, the Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission, Mr Justice Pang Kin-kee, and the Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, today (September 15) officiated at a ceremony to launch the publicity campaign for the 2007 District Council (DC) Election.

     Mr Lam called on all eligible voters to cast their votes in the DC Election on November 18 to show their care for the community. He also encouraged public-spirited individuals to stand for election.

     Acting Director of Broadcasting Ms Gracie Foo and the Election Ambassadors Anthony Wong and  Joey Yung, also took part in the ceremony. A number of artistes, such as Jade Kwan, EO2, Theresa Fu, Stephanie Cheng, Enrico Kwong and Hins Cheung performed.

     The ceremony was jointly organised by the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, Home Affairs Department, Registration and Electoral Office and Radio Television Hong Kong. It was held in the Sports Centre at Kowloon Park.
