Open forums to gauge public views on Green Paper

    The Government has issued the Green Paper on Constitutional Development to consult the public on the options, road map and timetable for implementing universal suffrage for the Chief Executive and the Legislative Council. The three-month consultation will close on October 10.

     The Government will organise two open forums to hear public views. People are welcome to attend.

     Details of the open forums are as follows:

First Session

Date: Tuesday, August 28
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Venue: School Hall, Queen's College, 120 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Second Session
--------------
Date : Tuesday, September 4
Time : 6pm - 8pm
Venue : Cultural Activities Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall, 1 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, New Territories

     Both forums will be conducted in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available.

     Interested people may register through the Home Affairs Department hotline on 2152 3027 during office hours until the day before the respective forums. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
