HKSAR Government welcomes exchanges between Hong Kong and Taiwan

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government officials today (September 16) received a delegation from the Taipei City Council. The delegates were briefed on the employment situation in Hong Kong and Government efforts to combat corruption and provide social welfare services.

A Constitutional Affairs Bureau spokesman said the visit was conducive to keeping Taiwan residents abreast of the latest developments in Hong Kong.

The delegates visited the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and were briefed on the organisation and work of the ICAC. They also visited the Social Welfare Department and Labour Department. Representatives of the two departments briefed the delegates respectively on the provision of social welfare services and employment services in Hong Kong. A lunch reception was hosted by the Constitutional Affairs Bureau for the delegation.

The 27-member delegation was led by Mr Hou Guan-qun, a Councillor with the Taipei City Council.
