Secretary for Constitutional Affairs visits Southern District

The Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, visited Southern District this afternoon (May 30). He met with District Council (DC) members and exchanged views with them on the review on the role, functions and compositions of DCs and local issues.
Mr Lam first visited the Ocean Park where Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Park, Mr Tom Mehrmann, briefed him mainly on the redevelopment programme of the park.
He later visited a library, sports facilities and a market in the Ap Lei Chau Municipal Services Building, where he also chatted with facility users and stall operators.
Mr Lam also met with and exchanged views with 16 District Councillors including Chairlady, Ms Mar Yuet-har and Vice-chairman, Mr Chu Ching-hong.
