A Government spokesman said today (June 2) that the fourth election of the District Councils (DCs) and the coming Election Committee (EC) subsector elections would be held on November 6, 2011, and December 11, 2011, respectively.
The dates for holding the fourth election of the DCs and the coming EC subsector elections were specified by the Chief Executive in accordance with section 27 of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547) and section 16 of the Schedule to the Chief Executive Election Ordinance (Cap 569), respectively. The dates will be published in the Gazette tomorrow (June 3).
