The Government has issued the "Consultation Document on the Methods for Selecting the Chief Executive and for Forming the Legislative Council in 2012" for consulting the public on these two electoral methods in 2012. The three-month consultation will close on February 19, 2010.
The Government will organise two open forums to listen to public views. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Details of the open forums are as follows:
First Open Forum

Venue: Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Second Open Forum

Time : 6pm - 8pm
Venue: Theatre, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin, New Territories
Both forums will be conducted in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available.
Interested members of the public may register through the Home Affairs Department hotline on 3583 3033 during office hours. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
