SCMA to visit Taipei this week

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, will visit Taipei on Friday and Saturday (June 5 and 6) at the invitation of the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC), to explore and discuss issues that will help further enhance co-operation between Hong Kong and Taiwan.

     While in Taipei, Mr Lam will hold a working meeting with senior officials of MAC. He will also call on the Taipei City Government.

     Accompanying Mr Lam on the visit will be the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law, and colleagues from both the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.

     Mr Lam will leave Hong Kong Thursday evening (June 4). During his absence from Hong Kong, the Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, will be Acting Secretary.
