The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, will attend the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games closing ceremony on September 17.
During his stay in Beijing, Mr Lam will also call on various departments of the Central Government, including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Lam's programme in Beijing will start on September 16. He will return to Hong Kong on September 19. He will take leave overseas between September 20 and 30. During Mr Lam's absence, Under-secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, will be Acting Secretary.
