The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam (right), today (April 20) called on eligible people to register as voters on or before May 16, so as not to miss the opportunity to vote in the September Legco election. Officiating at the 2008 Voter Registration Campaign mini-concert this afternoon, Mr Lam said that with about 3.3 million registered voters, Hong Kong had a voter registration rate of 71%. Since the launching of the voter registration campaign on April 5, the Government has received about 30,000 copies of voter registration forms. The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam today (April 20) called on eligible people to register as voters on or before May 16, so as not to miss the opportunity to vote in the September Legco election.
