Two forums on Hong Kong's constitutional development

     The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government will jointly organise two forums on constitutional development of Hong Kong on December 29.

     Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC), Mr Qiao Xiaoyang, Deputy Director, Legal Affairs Commission, NPCSC, Mr Li Fei, and Vice-Minister of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr Zhang Xiaoming, have accepted an invitation to come to Hong Kong to address the forums.

     The Government will invite guests of different sectors of the community to the forums. Guests invited to the forum to be held in the Government House mainly include Members of the Executive Council, Principal Officials, Members of the Legislative Council, and chairmen and vice-chairmen of the District Councils. As regards the other forum which will be held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, guests invited mainly include representatives of different sectors, Hong Kong deputies to the NPC, Hong Kong members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and other personalities.
