Study on accountability system for principal officials
still underway |

In response to media enquiries regarding a press report
published today (January 18) that the Government had worked
out the structure under the accountability system and the
remuneration package for principal officials, a Government
spokesman said the study on the accountability system for
principal officials is still underway and has not yet been
concluded.
"In the process of formulating the arrangements under the accountability system, the Government will continue to exchange views with the Legislative Council Panel on Constitutional Affairs and members of the community including academics," the spokesman said. End/Friday, January 18, 2002 |
