CS' media session after opening of UN Asia-Pacific Leadership Forum
*********************************************************

Following is the transcript (English portion) of a media session by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Donald Tsang, after attending the opening ceremony of the United Nations Asia-Pacific Leadership Forum this (February 25) morning:

Reporter: Do you agree......saying that some people in power are not patriotic?

Chief Secretary: I think it is for the people to judge at the end of the day. The most important thing is that it is a commonly accepted principle in Hong Kong that those patriots, when we talk about people serving Hong Kong, they must be able to serve Hong Kong's interests; they must be able to serve the national interests; they must not do anything to harm those interests. I am sure that those elected to the public office should be able to comply with these requirements.

Reporter: Are you thinking you are patriotic?

Chief Secretary: I think it is for you and for the public to judge at the end of the day.
