Equal Opportunities (Race) Funding Scheme 2008-09

The Funding Scheme existed to fund selected projects that seek to promote equal opportunities on the ground of race.

Our aim is to encourage and enable community organisations, in particular those serving the needs of ethnic minority groups, to organise projects of this kind.

The Equal Opportunities (Race) Funding Scheme for 2008-09 has been completed. The implementation of the Funding Scheme has been transferred to the Equal Opportunities Commission.

New Arrangement

Starting from April 2009, the EOC will extend the scope of its Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities to include projects promoting racial equality. It will also increase the funding limit of each individual project from $30,000 to $50,000 (Details : http://www.eoc.org.hk/eoc/fundp.htm).
