以下是政制及內地事务局局长谭志源今日（二月十六日）出席油尖旺区民族文化表演2014时的致辞全文：
孔昭华先生、赵崇彬先生、Dr Allan Zeman，各位嘉宾、各位朋友：
感谢油尖旺区议会民族事务工作小组及油尖旺南分区委员会邀请我出席今日由他们合办的油尖旺区民族文化表演2014活动。
主办机构透过今天的活动，让不同族裔的人士有机会参与文化表演，展现才能，同时亦可以欣赏其他族裔的文化和艺术表演，达到文化交流、社会共融的目的。
香港是一个国际大都会，匯聚来自不同文化和不同种族的人士。特区政府一直注重社区和谐，因应少数族裔人士的不同需要而提供多项不同的支援服务和措施，帮助他们融入社会。
As stated in the 2014 Policy Address, the Government will implement a number of measures to strengthen education support and employment services for ethnic minorities and to help them integrate into the community. For example, we will strengthen the Chinese learning support for ethnic minorities from early childhood education through to primary and secondary levels. For early childhood education, we will enhance school-based support services for kindergartens admitting ethnic minority children. We will also implement measures to ensure that ethnic minorities have equal access to job opportunities in the Government. In terms of community support, a new service centre will be set up in Kwai Tsing and youth units will be established in all ethnic minorities support service centres and sub-centres to provide dedicated programmes such as sports and cultural activities to help the personal development of ethnic minority youths.
As far as my bureau is concerned, we will promote racial equality through enhanced publicity and public education. In 2014, we will work together with Radio Television Hong Kong to produce a television documentary series and conduct a school outreach programme to help the public understand the cultures and customs of ethnic minorities, overcome barriers and eliminate discrimination. The Equal Opportunities Commission will also set up an Ethnic Minority Task Force to promote the messages of inclusion and diversity, foster social integration and build a caring society. The Task Force will conduct publicity campaigns and educational programmes, including new training services on cultural sensitivity and the Race Discrimination Ordinance, and organise more partnership programmes with different organisations (including the business sector) to promote equal opportunities for ethnic minorities. We sincerely hope that with the above support measures, as well as the collaboration of the Government, the local organisations, NGOs and the business sector, we can facilitate the integration of the ethnic minorities into the community.
政府刚就二零一七年行政长官及二零一六年立法会產生办法进行公眾諮询，期望继续与社会各界，有商有量，缩窄分歧，能够达致共识，在二零一七年能够做到行政长官由普选產生。我今天亦预备一些有关政制发展的纪念品及不同少数族裔语言的宣传单张派发给大家，希望大家就政改諮询踊跃发表意见，一同向普选的方向迈步。
再次感谢油尖旺区议会民族事务工作小组及油尖旺南分区委员会一向支持区內的少数族裔活动，让区內居民提高社区意识，凝聚街坊，共建和谐社区。
最后，我祝愿马年香港社会繁荣安定，各位龙马精神，心想事成。
