SCMA conducts home visits in Yau Tsim Mong District under "Celebrations for All" project (with photos)

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, visited elderly households and needy families in Yau Tsim Mong District under the "Celebrations for All" project this afternoon (June 17).
 
     Mr Tam said that the "Celebrations for All" project is one of the major events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and has the participation of all 18 districts. Volunteers from participating organisations will visit and distribute gift packs to elderly households and needy families in their respective district to extend to them love and care from different sectors of society.
 
     Mr Tam said he was glad to learn that over 40 non-government organisations in Yau Tsim Mong District have supported this event. He expressed the hope that through these home visits, he could have more interaction with members of the public and spread the joy of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR to them.
 
     Volunteers from welfare organisations and local bodies of Yau Tsim Mong District will distribute gift packs to around 9,000 elderly households and 13,300 needy families in the district.
 
     After attending the gift pack distribution launching ceremony, Mr Tam and colleagues from the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, including the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu, and the Deputy Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Miss Rosanna Law, joined volunteers in separate teams to visit and extend warmest wishes to families in Yau Tsim Mong District.
